I recently checked out this place called Ida Claire which is located right near The Alamo Quarry (right next to Hofbrau). On their main website, they best describe their cuisine as "South of Ordinary… an intriguing, southern-inspired destination for relaxing suppers, slow weekend brunching or a meeting hub for business lunches and happy hour". Their food selection ranges from typical dishes, such as Shrimp with Grits, Pecan Smoked Pork Chop, Chicken and Waffles, a 13oz Texas Ribeye Steak, and their beyond a burger sandwich. My personal favorite was their Monte Cristo sandwich, which was very delicious. I would recommend going if you want a good lunch or brunch.
